This one-of-a-kind wearable art piece is inspired by Chappell Roan's iconic single "The Giver" (and subsequent viral media campaign) and old school blue collar work shirt designs, combining Kait's love for old type, vintage memorabilia, and her queerness. 

Type and illustration designed by Kait for this piece and embroidered on her vintage hand-steered chainstitch embroidery machine using a combination of reclaimed dead stock threads and modern threads, both 100% cotton. Total work on this piece of around 8 hours. 

Due to the base shirt being vintage, there are a couple of spots and stains around the piece, nearly imperceptible. Unedited photos are included in the listing showing stains.

The shirt was thoroughly cleaned before embroidery and will come pressed, lightly starched and inside a protective garment bag. Shipping as well as local Chattanooga pickup from Kait's studio inside Clearstory Arts is offered.

Size not listed on the original garment tag, but I guesstimate an XL-2XL.

Measurements as follows on laid flat garment when buttoned:
Chest/PTP: 27 3/4"
Sleeve: 18 1/2"
Arm Openings: 9 1/2"
From pit to bottom side: 17"

Care: For best results: DRY CLEAN ONLY. Spot clean (apply light amount of stain remover and dab area) if needed. Do not put in the dryer. Light ironing is fine, careful not to press down on the embroidered area.

I offer shipping options from USPS, UPS, and FedEx. I only ship out items twice a week: on Saturdays and Wednesdays (barring any federal holidays). Please refer to each item's listed turnaround time for questions about order timing, and please allow for more shipping time during these unprecedented times.

Returns/Exchanges

Bottom line: I do not accept returns, but I do allow exchanges on some items. Many of my items are one-of-a-kind or personalized in some way, so offering open-ended returns is just not manageable for me.
