The Yearners Hockey League Chenille Varsity Jacket is a one-of-a-kind wearable art piece is designed and embroidered by Kaitlyn Willow—each patch designed, embroidered & sewn on by hand, absolutely no computerized embroidery involved in creating this piece. Inspired by vintage hockey patches and Kait's love of vintage varsity style, this piece celebrates coming out and radical queerness based on the breakout hit Heated Rivalry HBO TV show & Rachel Reid's hockey romance book series. 

The Yearners Hockey League patch on the back (also available in sticker form!) includes Hollander & Rozanov's ship name Hollanov and the dates allude to Shane & Ilya's relationship milestones: 2008 being the first time they met at the International Prospect Cup & 2017 including the Skip kiss, "I'm Coming to the Cottage" and of course, their I Love You confessions.

Each shoulder has chenille number patches 24 for Hollander and 81 for Rozanov in their Montreal Voyageurs & Boston Raiders team colors. The front of the jacket is complete with a custom designed "HR" varsity letter patch (also the combination of their first initials of their last names) and freehand script embroidery of "ya tebya lyublyu" or "I love you" in Russian.

Type and illustration designed by Kait for this piece and embroidered on her studio of vintage hand-steered chainstitch embroidery machines just like they were in the 50s and beyond. Materials: Jacket outer made from 24 ounce cardinal melton wool (80% wool, 20% nylon), sleeves 100% genuine white premium quality cowhide leather, lining 100% black polyester taffeta quilted with 3/4 zip-out lining. Chenille patches made from wool & acrylic blend felt & chenille yarn, sewn on underneath lining for pucker-free fit.

Care/Cleaning: This garment is made from wool, leather, polyester, and wool/acrylic blend felt patches should be dry cleaned, no exceptions. You may find a tide pen & dabbing with a cotton cloth is effective for small stains, but for larger areas of dirt or stains, you must use a trusted dry cleaner. Light steaming is fine, careful not to press down on the embroidered area and avoid the leather. Highly recommend you take off this jacket when sitting or driving as to not ruff up the back patch.

I offer shipping options from USPS, UPS, and FedEx. I only ship out items twice a week: on Saturdays and Wednesdays (barring any federal holidays). Please refer to each item's listed turnaround time for questions about order timing, and please allow for more shipping time during these unprecedented times.

Returns/Exchanges

Bottom line: I do not accept returns, but I do allow exchanges on some items. Many of my items are one-of-a-kind or personalized in some way, so offering open-ended returns is just not manageable for me.
